The Share the Love Family Boutique is an officially recognized Synodical Authorized Outreach Mission (SAOM) and a registered nonprofit organization.
This status allows us to apply for grants and receive corporate and personal donations, which are our primary sources of operational support. While funding from SEPA and the ELCA helps sustain part of this ministry, it does not cover all expenses.
To continue offering a free, dignified clothing-shopping experience, we rely on the generosity, gifts, and talents of our community.
The need for the boutique became clear after a devastating fire in downtown Oxford, where 91 people lost everything they owned. In response, members of Community of Love Lutheran Church came together to support those who had lost so much.
In the weeks that followed, it became clear that many families were struggling to access basic clothing especially warm coats and seasonal essentials. The need extended beyond Oxford and into surrounding communities.
For many years, residents relied on a local thrift shop to purchase affordable clothing. When the shop closed due to rising rents and financial strain, families were
left with very limited options.
Some community members simply could not afford clothing. As one caseworker shared, even people who had never imagined stealing sometimes felt forced to choose between buying food or buying clothes.
No one should ever have to face that choice.
Transforming our former sanctuary into an outreach clothing mission does not diminish its sacred purpose it enriches it. The sanctuary has always been a place where the gospel is proclaimed, not only through words but through acts of compassion and justice.
Today, instead of pews, you’ll find racks of clothing and shelves of shoes symbols of God’s love made tangible. Every item given freely communicates a powerful message:
You are seen. You are valued. You are worthy of care.
This space has become a living parable, reflecting Jesus’ ministry of feeding, clothing, and embracing those on the margins. The Share the Love Boutique continues to embody the gospel through action, remaining a sanctuary not just in name, but in spirit.

From this reality, the vision for Share the Love Boutique was born. Our goal is to provide clean, gently used, and freshly laundered clothing in a welcoming boutique environment completely free of charge.
More than clothing, we strive to create a space where every guest experiences:
Everyone who walks through our doors deserves to feel valued, respected, and supported.

Share the Love Boutique exists to support families in our community by providing access to clothing and essential items at no cost, while creating a warm and dignified shopping experience for every guest.
At Share the Love Family Boutique, we believe everyone deserves access to clothing in a way that preserves dignity, respect, and choice.
Unlike traditional clothing drives or donation centers, our boutique is designed to feel like a welcoming store. Families are invited to shop in a calm, organized space where they can choose items that meet their needs and reflect their personal style.
Guests are welcomed into a boutique-style environment where they can browse and choose clothing for themselves and their families.
Every item is cleaned, sorted, and ready to wear so families receive clothing they can feel confident in.
All clothing and essential items are provided at no cost.
Our boutique operates thanks to the generosity of volunteers, donors, and community partners.
